This half day program will take you to experience driving on convertible vintage VW while exploring in depth the cultures and daily life of the people, guided by an insightful local guide of the area. As you drive along, you will be shown the city’s famous touristy spots before reaching the destination village. There, you will be greeted by the local’s warm hospitality that offers an afternoon delight with tea or coffee and traditional snacks. They will also invite you to join the local’s daily activity -end to end process of batik mask making, starting from carving the wood into a mask, drawing batik pattern, and coloring them into a painted batik mask.

Furthermore, the drive will continue to take you to see the highland area of Yogyakarta with a few stops to take pictures with magnificent background for your memorabilia. You will also visit local schools and get a chance to interact with the children by exchanging basic language skills, or even participate in light sport activities with them. Special lunch will be served at local organic farm restaurant where you can start by a little stroll to observe the homegrown vegetables, fruits and various of herbs in the garden. If lucky, you might have the chance to meet the owner and have a chat about this inspiring and unique place.

Finally, the highlight of this journey ends with a visit to Royal Cemetery where you will be able to see the innermost part of the cemetery complex by wearing a traditional Javanese outfits before heading back to your hotel.
